Semantica discursului memorialistic transilvănean de la 1848

  • Subiect: The historiography dedicated to the moment 1848 in Transylvania demonstrated that in revolution clashed not only political interests and social groups, but national interests, nations that were in the process of asserting their identity, whose outcome was translated by the emergence of new cliches, distorted and exaggerated, prevailing, sometimes, at the expense of nuanced representations, close to the historical reality. This paper will attempt to identify some of the clichés extensively circulated in the social imaginary field in the Transylvanian revolution, calling another genre of documentary sources, the memoirs dedicated to this revolution, which occupies a distinct place in the whole forty-eighter Romanian memoirs by its great diversity, a large number of texts kept, most original or published in inaccessible journals. As an organic part of the revolution, the Transylvanian Romanian memoirs transmitts over the centuries its myth in support of a collective conscience deeply attached to ideals, to the revolutionary spirit whose resurrection is prepared. Weapon of revenge and liberation, forty-eighter Romanian memoirs fully contributed to the preparation of the Great Union, which crowning the act of year 1848.
