Subiect: The purpose of the study is to analyse the reactions of the historical Romanian parties and Romanian immigrants in the matter of the Eastern Romanian territories re-annexed by the USSR. The aftermath of World War II, took place the Peace Conference from Paris in 1946, where the victors discussed and proposed the peace treaties with five defeated countries, Romania included. Romania was under the rule of the Groza’s Government, a puppet Government imposed by the Soviets, and had no objection towards the annexation. The immigrants’ efforts that the Peace Conference should deny the Soviet Union’s policy to keep these territories failed as the Soviet Union was granted, as a Great Power, the right of veto.
