În slujba adevărului istoric, cu mijloacele (uneori modeste!) ale limbii române (II)

  • Subiect: Although it may seem, the present article is not a review, in the classical sense, of a Monograph of Vâlcea county, a work published in 1981 (Vîlcea, Monograph, Ed. Sports - Tourism, Bucharest, 1980, 350 p. + 48 p. drawings + a color map board, 20 lei). The article, prepared shortly after the publication of the monograph, is a critical approach on a particular way to write history, characteristic to a time and some leaders of those times. The article also presents "habits" that have not disappeared either in the period after 1989, and "authors" who still use the same methods. Structured in three parts, the rich material provided by the monograph determined us to publish, in this issue of the magazine, the information about the “Reasons of inspiration” (plagiarism) used for the compilation, after (in a previous issue of the magazine) we have just published the parts related to the "Contribution" of the author (s) and the "Respect" for the historical truth.
