Subiect: This article presents the history of a church in the hamlet Cociobi, village Slătioara, Vâlcea county, village attested to September 7, 1508. It is an old foundation, from 1705, but it was ruined and rebuilded from the ground by Ioan Popescu, also known as Urşanu, bailiff of the area of Horezu, a lover of the holy places of the Lord, who built the foundation and has restored 40 churches, among which the most important are the church from Urşani and Vioreşti.
