Consideraţii privind portul popular vâlcean

  • Subiect: The costume, a decorative art field, responds to the spiritual and material needs of society in its historical development. Beyond the utilitarian function, protection of the body, the costume wishes to amend the physical appearance of every age man, who is trying to express himself in the costume created. From a morphological perspective, female costume is presented in two versions and the differentiating criterion is the presence of the piece covering the waist down shirt. In both cases, the main piece is the shirt, keeping the balance both by full color and decoration and by proportions, representing the decisive factor in choosing what parts make up the whole.
