Osteoporoza- problemă de sănătate publică

Subiect: Osteoporosis is a skeletal disorder in which bone strength is compromised due to loss of bone density and bone quality. Fracture is the most detrimental outcome of decreased bone strength because it is associated with high morbidity, mortality and functional loss in the elderly. Osteoporosis is the most commonly occurring bone disease, and it is anticipated that the prevalence of osteoporosis will increase as the population ages. Identifying those at risk for osteoporosis and fractures is important in the clinical management of patients.
