Port popular de sărbătoare în fotografiile lui Alexandru Roşu

  • Subiect: The photography of the 19th century has become an important tool for the scientific documenting work. The present study is based on research conducted in the collection of graphic documents belonging to the image archive of the ASTRA National Museum Complex, namely the images signed by Alexandru Roşu, a photographer from Bistriţa, focusing on the festive folk costume specific to the men and women living in this area. Twenty photographs are presented in the order of their inventory number in the collection of graphic documents. The following were alsa considered: dating, materials used in obtaining the photographs, dimensions, descriptions. The aim of this study is to provide a complete image, one that is clase to the reality rendered by the photographer at the end of the 19th century regarding the festive folk costume in the Bistriţa area.
