Planul pentru integrarea socială a cetăţenilor români de etnie romă din judeţul Sibiu, 2015-2020

  • Subiect: The Measures Plan for Sibiu County regarding inclus ion of Romanian citizens belonging to the Roma minority has been developed in accordance with the Governmental Strategy for inclusion of Romanian citizens belonging to Roma minority for the period 2015-2020. The Version issued in 2015 is uploaded on the web portal of Sibiu County Prefect's Institution and succeeding that of2014, published in the same subdomain. The share of Roma population represents 4. 8% of the total population in Sibiu county according to 2011 Population and Housing Census, yet unable to speak about disadvantaged communities or social exclusion in all those communities, according to the analysis undertaken during the last three years with representatives of territorial-administrative units and decentralized institutions. The objectives are related to ensuring the socio-economic and cultural inclus ion of Romanian citizens of Roma minority by implementing integrated policies in health, education, employment, housing, cu/ture, social infrastructure and public order. These were discussed within the meetings ofthe County Joint Working Group for Roma population, the topics beingfocused on protectingfundamental rights and freedoms aiming to provide various types of necessary services and achieving a dialogue framework as flexible as possible and open to all actors: state institutions, civil society representatives, members of the working group. An important role in the development and implementation in the cultural field is permanently played by ASTRA National Museum Complex. This cultural institution has the largest ethno-museum structure in Romania, with a distinctive treatment for specific Romanian, Saxon and the Roma folk culture. This structure is joined by numerous events related to the promotion and knowledge of Roma organized cu/ture, contributing to the change of mentality for both majority and Roma minority.
