  • Subiect: The theme of the article is the communication through images in the traditional costume of Gura Râului-a village ofTransylvania (region of Mărginimea Sibiului), Roman ia. A fier we explain the concepts of visual communication through clothes, the power of the image and the morphology of image, we give details about how the traditional costume of the region of Mărginimea Sibiului became a black and white costume, we make the description of the feminine and masculine traditional costume of Gura Râului, we explain how and why the traditional costume is worn, what it communicates through its materials andits colors. We discover a strong link between the traditional costume of this Transylvanian village and the orthodox religion. The main purpose of the present article is to get to know better the inhabitants of this Transylvanian village, through their traditional costume. The main message of this traditional costume to us all is an impulse to simplicity, to normality.
