Oase deformate din ingluviile speciei Tyto Alba în judeţul Satu Mare

Subiect: During the present research we analyzed 114 samples of owl pellets, collected from 41 locality in Satu Mare County. Based on the analysis s of bones and teeth, we followed, the number of prey items wounded, sick or weak or juveniles in the diet of barn owl, to determine their importance in the feeding habit. In Europe, in several cases was described distortion of teeth at important prey species. In the analyzed pellets the number of them was negligible. From this small number we can conclude that the proportion of individuals with bone healed, or distorted in other cases (tumors, deficiencies, pathogens, poisoning) is very low.
