Abordarea Târgului de fete de pe Muntele Găina din perspectivă istorico-evolutivă·

  • Subiect: This study analyzes the evolution of Maiden's Fair on Mount Găina, from a historical perspective, startingfrom the first information provided and ending with the postcommunist period. In each of these stages of evolution, the functions of the fair have been modified, so we can observe a switch from the social and commercial functions of Maiden's Fair on Mount Găina to a touristic function- specific to the last period analyzed by us. The study provides a descriptive analysis by retrieving information from newspapers and reevaluating the so called "standard knowledge" or mythical perception of the fair, that the Romanian society has always tended to have.
