Vestigii germanice din secolele V-VII d. Hr. în regiunile est-carpatice. Germanic remains from sixth and seventh centuriesin the east carpthian

  • Subiect: „In addition to archaeological discoveries in regions east of the Carpathians belonging Visigoths and Taifali within the material culture of Sântana de Mureş and some remains assigned to Ostrogoths groups from the first half of the fifth century, were reported for the first time and some elements belonging Gepids in Transylvania and the Crimean Goths, dating from the VI-VII centuries. These artifacts are the radiate bronze fibulae, simple iron fibulae, bilateral bone combs, some Christian objects and some pottery fragments. These elements of material culture have been used in the regions east of the Carpathians as a result of relations between Roman population from here and Gepids from Transylvania or have been brought by the Alani groups entered in the mentioned area, who have taken themfrom Goths of Crimea. Confirmation of these artifacts in regions east of the Carpathians does not necessarily mean an actual presence of Germanic groups here, their existence beingthe consequence of established relations between mentioned populations.”
