Date noi despre tezaurul de monede romane republicane de la Puieşti (jud. Vaslui).

  • Subiect: „We publish a batch of seven Republican Roman coins from the numismatic collection of the Museum „Vasile Pârvan” of Bârlad. Based on the information provided by the museum inventory register, the coins belong to the hoard of Puieşti, previously studied by Maria Chiţescu during the ‛70s-‛80s. The present batch contains one coin with cuts and another one with countermarks. The latter is also plated. In terms of chronology, two denars were minted in the 2nd century BC, but most of them belong to the 1st century BC, mainly from the time of the Civilian War during the ‛50s. The most recent issue of the entire hoard is a „legionary” denarius of Marcus Antonius.”
