Descoperiri întâmplătoare specifice culturii Sântana de Mureş- Cerneachov în nord-vestul judeţului Galaţi (II)

  • Subiect: „The archaeological collection of „Teodor Cincu” History Museum of Tecuci comprises many items fortunately discovered in the area of Tecuci and in its surroundings, on the occasion of various building operations, of periegesis or revealed as the result of the action of the destructive natural factors. Many of the archaeological items discovered on such occasions are still unknown, not being published, but, at the most, being only mentioned in various papers. The present article aims at presenting a part of the archaeological items fortunately discovered in several localities from the North-West of Galaţi County (Gohor commune – Ireasca village, Tecuci – the points named „Rateş”, „Grădiniţa nr. 2”, „Cartierul Tecuciul Nou”). The presented items, chronologically belonging to Sântana de Mureş-Cerneachov culture, were found in settlements. All the fortunate discoveries presented bring a noticeable contribution to the repertory of the archaeological finds belonging to Sântana de Mureş-Cerneachov culture and to the creation of a more accurate map of the area with such finds.”
