• Subiect: „In this article the author resume the archaeological discoveries from south of Moldavia. The presence of several settlements and necropolises from various historical periods within this area, and of some defensive systems or of special funerary fittings suggest eloquently the importance of this territory in several chronological stages. The parallel antiquity versus modernity is give in this case by the Traian – Tuluceşti vallum and the Focşani – Nămoloasa – Galaţi fortified line. An sketchy look over the most important archaeological discoveries already known in the historiography reveal an effervescent zone in different historical periods when especially the natural environment and the zone demography attract all kind of interests: strategical, economical or political. Is such historiographic ”survey” reveal so many things we can already imagine what can be mean an deep research, started on the field – which still hide many of the past memories – conjugate with an solid archives research!”
