Cercetări paleontologice realizate sub egida Secţiei de Ştiinţele Naturii a Muzeului ”Vasile Pârvan”, Bârlad.

  • Subiect: „The palaeontologycal researches realized in Barlad’s Highland have resulted in the numerical and quality growth of the Palaeonthogy collection, already existing at the Natural Science Department of the „Vasile Parvan” Museum from Barlad. The performed field work resulted in collecting of a rich and miscellaneous palaeonthologycal material of both miocene and pleistocene continental vertebrates. The fossils were collected both from the well-known digs through formal field work and from new abruptions proved to have fossil-potential from the central zone of Barlad’s Highland. Among these fossil-digs stand out: „Nisiparia Draxeni”, „Cariera de nisip” Pogana, the „Cretesti- Dobrina 1” dig and the Gherghesti’s digs. The sampling, restoration and preservation of the osteologycal fossiled elements in the department’s lab have enriched the palaeonthologycal collection of the museum with numerous pieces which have an exceptional scientifical value.
