Structura şi evoluţia satelor medievale timpurii la est de Carpaţi

  • Subiect: „The archaeological researches carried out in the eastern regions of the Carpathians provided important information on the structure and evolution of the villages during the Early Middle Ages. It was found that the villages were unfortified and they were made up of about 30-40 houses and household annexes. The craft workshops were on the edge of the settlements. The agricultural land was outside the village. In some areas, fortified settlements were built. In cases of dangers, the villages associated themselves as a specific social policy structure. The social, economic and administrative structure of the villages has a late Roman and Byzantine origin and has remained almost nchanged until the developed Middle Ages.”
