Biserica „ Sfântul Apostol Andrei" din Buzău. Monument de artă religioasă contemporană

  • Subiect: Church “St. Andrew” in Buzău - contemporary religious art monument Micro 14 District, located on the outskirts of Buzău, is the first compact area built during the communist regime. Conceived as a small town that had at its center all the institutions that had a role in providing services to the population, this neighborhood, the result of forced urbanization, is devoid of any attractive architectural forms and until 1990 had no church. In 1990, the priest Iulian Negoiţă assumed this urban and spiritual project. Thus, in an untidy space, amounted Church "St. Andrew". After nearly 25 years from the cornerstone, the "St. Andrew" and the charity "St. Andrew" fill the whole neighborhood with institutional and architectural aesthetics. Church "St. Andrew" is a monument of contemporary religious art which combines several architectural styles and fits the austere space of the area. lt is the only church completed in Buzău which has a structure borrowed from Greek church architecture (i.e. church basement and the church itself). The unique architecture, the functionality of spaces, the quality finishes, iconographic colors and the warmth of religious services are appreciated by those who visit church "St. Andrew". Although "young", this place of worship is present in art albums and presentations of Buzău.
