Aspecte economice ale comunei Şarânga, judeţul Buzău

  • Subiect: Economic aspects of Şarânga commune, Buzău county The commune of Sarânga is first mentioned in 1890 under the name of Coca Iantropol estate, bearing its owner's name and consisting of an area formed mostly of fields suitable for farming. In 1831, the mapping done for the registration of taxpayers included approximately 200 families, with farming as their livelihood. Significant changes in the economic organization of the commune could be seen after the 1864 agrarian reform that registered 177 peasants who had previously worked for the landowner, who were given land from the Iantropol estate. After the war, the statistics of the area shows us that in 1919 the livelihood was still based on farming. After 1930, changes in the farming activities were seen, i.e. from the approximately 1378 existing hectares at the time, 670 hectares were for plant cultures and 636 hectares for grafted vineyards.
