Date preliminare privind fauna de vertebrate din Câmpia Nirului

Subiect: The Nir Plain is situated in the Northem sector of the Tisza Plain, in the Western part of the Satu Mare and Bihor counties (between Carei and Valea lui Mihai). The landscape is hilly with dunes and inter-dunes, protecting important swamps. 1 03 vertebrate species have been identified, out of which 3 fish species, 3 amphibian species, 2 reptile species, 76 bird species, 19 mammal species, the birds prevailing over the others. The swamps are visited by approx. 25 marine bird species, and the forests are visited by 21 forest species. Rodents dominate the grasslands and the camps.
