  • Subiect: The founder Gherase and his spiritual heritage The paper deals with a theme of local church history. The reader is introduced into the life of Gherăseni parish community. The journey across the local history follows mainly the landmarks in the life of the Assumption Church and in the activity and life of its founder's family. The historic journey commences at the moment when the village community comes into being around the church and goes on up to this time, when they celebrate the 151 st anniversary of activity of the existing Church. The historic account interweaves names, facts, events and descriptions, above all standing the village church highlighted as a factor of unity over time.
