Cu privire la relaţiile dintre geţii est-carpaticu şi lumea greco-macedoniană

  • Subiect: On the relations between the east-carpathian gettae and the Greek-Macedonian world The presence of Greek merchants in this area is felt as early as the close of the 6th BC and more firmly during the 5th and 4th BC. when the colonization of the western and northern shore of the Block Sea is under way. One may note t lw t the weight of imports, consisting of amphorae, luxury ceramics and Greek or Macedonian coins, differs from one period to another without any noticeable interruption. This fact facilitates the chronological circumscribing of autochthonous complexes. Among the consequences of the relations with the Greek-Macedonicm world is the Gettae-Dacian population's endeavour to obtain increased grain crops and other foods by using adequate tools and a cheap, abundant labour force. A catalogue of ceramic findings (both amph orue and luxury ceramics) and Greek-Macedonian coins discovered all over Moldavia (100 findings) as well as their position on the map is also provided.
