Baia cu aburi obţinuţi cu ajutorul pietrelor întrebuinţate în Moldova şi Dobrogea (cu implicaţii explicative având caracter etnologic)

  • Subiect: Steam Lipovan Bath Obtained by Heating Stones in Moldavia arid Dobrudja (with ethnological implications) The steam bath, obtained by heating stones (mentioned before by Herodot at the Scythians), was found by the author, in 1949, in some Lipovan villages of Moldavia and Dobrudja. The bathroom is described with a kiln formed of ancemented stones and a parlour. Then it is made a detailed description of the functions of such an installation: to dry the autumn hemp artificially, a meeting place, a birth place, a magical-religious-pagan place. Therefore, research is extended as well over some remote zones the great Russians (the origin of Lippovans) the white Russians, the Finnishes, the Lithuanians, the Lettonians, the Syrians and the Votiacks.
