Subiect: The first references are made to Constantin Kristescu's life (a career officer): studies, his taking part in the World War 1, the medals bestowed on him for his contribution to the battles between 1916 - 1917.
His activity as a medalist and engraver is dealt with further on. The medals and plaquettes are presented from the point of view of their topic and chronology. The author emphasizes on the one hand Constantin Kristescu's remarkable talent in rendering zoomorphic motives, historical allegories, portraits; on the other hand, the artist's contribution to Romania 's efforts to achieve a unified state and a political and administrative reorganization is brought forward.
