Activitatea Partidului Naţional Agrar (1932-1935)

  • Subiect: The Agrarian National Party was founded by the poet Octavian Goga and acted independently until 1 935 when it united with the Christian National Defense League, ruled by A. C. Cuza (a professor at the University from laşi), and built the Christian National Party. As a result of the victory in election, on the 1th August 1932, the Peasant National Party built the new government foremost of who was Alexandru Vaida Voevod, who owned also the portfolio of the Foreign Ministry. From the beginning of the rule, Goga attacks the peasant leadership and implicitly the government, in the so-called "Skoda Business" a Czechoslovak firm with which Maniu government concluded, in 1928, a contract for the equipment of the army. The representative of the firm in Bucharest indulged, yet, in espionage actions, having personal connections with the prime minister himself who refuses a series of more convenient offers of some British, German, French etc. firms. The Czecho-austrian is arrested as a result of a raid at the buro of the firm, where they found files containing military and state secrets.
