Punctul arheologic "Movila Pescarului II" din satul Pogăneşti, comuna Stănileşti, judeţul Vaslui - (II)

  • Subiect: The hammock called by us THE FISHERMEN HAMMOCK II 5 is actually a natural tumulus, unmeaked, flattened, made on a witness of erosion the Prut river erosion, with abrupt sides to the east and north and with a deep clough to the west, created by erosion. Has oval shape on the North - South direction and is situate dat 30 m by the township road 37, the southernmost part of the Pogăneşti village and about 3400 m by road DN 24A Huşi-Fălciu. The hammock diameter is of 15 meters in length and 11 meters in width. The maximum height is 1.20 m. from the current walking level. In fact, it is a natural hammock with interfluves created on the terraces of the Prut River. Arranged as a tomb during the transition from eneolitic to the Brass Age, the tumulus had than initially a hight, but likely eroded with the passing of time.
