Răscoala lui Mihalcea Hâncul (1671-1672) - cea mai însemnată mişcare de acest fel din istoria medievală a Moldovei

  • Subiect: Before the second half of the 18th century it has not been ascertained a protestant uprising of vast proportion such as the one in the winter of 1671 - 1672, during the second reign of Gheorghe Duca in this country. Through the dimensions of crowd participation, through duration, development and objectives, the Moldavians' riot, led by Mihalcea Hâncul, Apostol Durac and Constantin Clucerul, exceeded all similar previous events, distinguishing as the most significant upheaval of this kind in the feudal history of this country. Being a direct reaction to the ruling activity by means of excessive financial and economic measures and of the unfair, preferential treatment of the participation in the ruling of the country, the riot equally reflected the political and economic situation of the country and the social antagonisms at that time.
