Un studiu de istorie locală - comuna Răchiteni în prima jumătate a secolului al XX-lea

  • Subiect: Rachiteni village lies in Iasi county, on the right side of Siret valley everglade. The village territory belongs to the southern extremity of Suceava Hills, which are part of the large Moldavian Plateau. The distance between the village and the county's capital is 72 km, and the nearest urban areas are the town of Pascani (26 km far away) and the town of Roman, situated at a distance of 17 km, in Neamt county. At the beginning of the Twentieth Century Rachiteni village was well organised and dea1ing with the current issues of the age: the breaking from the "medieval" village life to the modern one. In this study I have followed the evolution of Rachiteni village through the first half of the Twentieth Century.
