Activitatea muzeistică din Moldova în anii Primului Război Mondial (1914-1918)

  • Subiect: The period of the first world war didn't mean a total stop of the museum activity. The war determined some measures and dispositions taken by the museums that had to be applied, in order to ensure the collections of any risk. In the neutral period (1914-1916), when a strong national spirit manifested, the results the intensification of the museum activity resulted. The period of a total stop of museum activity (1916-1918), when, by the result of the war, the collections that were in the museum had disappeared and deteriorated because of their transportation for being protected or of the foreign occupation. Next museums appear in the First World War: Regional museum: The Museum of Suceava from Fălticeni (1914); Local museums: Gheorghe Lucinescu's collection from Suliţa-Botoşani (1914); Agricultura! museum: The Museum of History and Studying of territory from Tighina (1914); Archeological museum: The Museum of the antics from laşi (1916); Monastery Museums: The Neamţ Monastery (1916); Memorial Houses: Ion Creanga's Bojdeuca (Mud House) from Ţicău (1918); Some known museums after 1914, seized their activity because of military operations or they were forced to evacuate the collections for a long time (the evacuation and the loss of our national treasure in 1917 sent in the U.R.S.S. and not recuperated until now).
