Bisericile de lemn ale Bârladului

  • Subiect: The title of this communication has a dual meaning, referring first to the wooden churches that existed in the city, serving the borough districts and later towns' populations. Furthermore we consider the existing 19 wooden churches belonging to the archpriest ship of Bârlad. Many of these were destroyed, some being burnt by fire, others were rebuilt from brick. Currently, there is no wooden church in the city of Bârlad, in their place new ones were being rebuilt from stone and brick.
