Muzeul şcolar de etnografie şi istorie din Muntenii de Sus

  • Subiect: The local community and the pupils from Muntenii de Sus, made possible the establishment of the Ethnography and History Collection in the Muntenii de Sus school. The collection began in 1999, when the history teacher Gianina-Cristina Chirilă made the first steps. This scholar museum became a part of the school and indispensable in the pupil 's education. The collection has got over 500 ethnographic, numismatic and historical objects and in the window - cabinets it is exposed partially in the history laboratory of the school (only the small parts) and the other part (the largest parts objects of the "collection") in one room of the Conununity Home from the village. This collection was temporarily exhibited at the local museum "Ştefan cel Mare" from Vaslui, on the occasion of the "International Museum Day" on the 18th of May 2008. The collection could be seen until the 10th of June 2008 , then it was exhibited at Conununity Home from Muntenii de Sus as a popular "Art Exposition" within the local festival "Fluieraşul Vasluian" on 11 November 2007 and 15 November 2008 . This history lesson i n the museum offers a plus of knowledge for the pupils besides the regular history classes from the school. Although there is not adequate space for all the pieces of the collection to be exposed properly, this museum represents the second image symbol of the school, as a form of conserving the historical and ethnographic patrimony which is in danger of disappearing.
