Dimitrie Cantemir - "rege între filosofi şi filosof între regi"

  • Subiect: Dimitrie Cantemir (26 Oct. 1673 21 Aug. 1723) was Moldavia's lord between 1710-1711, a great writer, historian, scientist, ethnographer, geographer, historian, linguist, musicologist, politician, encyclopaedist, Romanian humanist a predicator of the enlightenment. Many of his works determined the directions, the methods and the content of the scientific researches of the European school of Orientalism. He is also one of the founders of the European ethnographic school.
