  • Subiect: The endowment of the Romanian Army during the first three decades of the 20th century Within the internal and external political economical context of the first three decades of the 20th century, the measures taken with a view to organizing the structure and managing the national defense system followed the line of a whole set of steps taken by the Romanian government to improve its own combat ability and reach an adequate level of organizing its army force structure. As a result of the analysis on the shifts in the national defense system structure, after 1918, one can distinguish the following tendencies: a specialization of the higher military governing bodies by developing some specialized structures meant to coordinate all army units and services; the modernization of the infantry and cavalry units; developing troops to fight in the mountain and coast areas, as well as coast guard troops; providing the army with modem combat techniques, especially such units as aviation, armour and intercommunication.
