  • Subiect: This study, as part of an extensive research referring to the princely detour of Vaslui fair, endorses an interesting space from an archaeological, social, political and ecclesiastical point of view which, unfortunately, is less known. The basis of the documentary evidence of the manor disappeared in this area along with the history, with the Greek monks who owned Lipovăţ monastery until the secularisation and, obviously, its archive. The information on Lipovăţ is prevalent in many previous merituous works, in uric documents of the neighbouring villages, with tangential references to the title, in the unfairly dissipated archaeological testimonies, in the many and incomprehensible well-hidden local traditions.
