Consecinţe ale ocupaţiilor străine. Implicaţii economice ale dominaţiei străine asupra Moldovei (1821-1859)

  • Subiect: Ottoman military occupation of 1821-1822, was a heavy burden for the Romanian Principalities, respectively Moldova, by giving them extraordinary tasks in the form of furniture for the maintenance of troops and horses feeding, chores to transport supplies, feed and baggage of war and high taxes to pay soldiers. Appears striking character and weariness robbery of the Turkish occupation. In general, Turkish occupation has cost only about Turkish soldiers and supplies over 7,000,000 piastres. Damage and fires caused by the occupation troops, especially in lasi not enter into these ca/culations, as thousands of kidnappings and murders committed by Turkish soldiers. In 1828 began a new Russo-Turkish war and held in Moldova and attended by the same looting, destruction and impoverishment of the sources of wealth of the country, the loss of countless material and spiritual values and a long foreign military occupation. Between 1829-1834 the Romanian principalities under Russian military occupation have not paid any tribute to the Turks. Instead they spent for the maintenance of the Russian troops. In conclusion we can say that many wars and devastating Ottoman ru/e, accompanied by long periods of foreign occupation - and sometimes amplified Turkish incursions robbery, or exploitation Phanariot cruel regime - led to drain the national wealth, the destruction or disposal of many material and spiritual values, to brake economic and politica/ development of the Romanian society and the backwardness of our country to countries in Central and Western Europe.
