Armata naţională de eliberare - o iluzie amară la sfârşitul celui de-Al Doilea Război Mondial

  • Subiect: To counter the act of 23 August 1944 Germany attempted, besides other politica! and military actions, to constituie, outside Romania, a National Romanian Government, made up of important pro-German politicians, and to establish a National Liberation Army. This attempt, to concentrate in a military structure all those who were willing, for one reason or another, to fight alongside Germany against the Soviet troops that were rapidly approaching Central Europe and Berlin, somehow substantiated but, despite the early enthusiasm of the Legionary Movement and its attempt to provide the action with a national character, with the wide participation of the legionaries and Romanian militaries that were imprisoned or studied in Germany, its construction proved extremely fragile and far from having the expected effects.
