  • Subiect: Patrimony of cultural heritage at the collection Gianina-Cristina Chirilă During the period 1999-2010 the teacher Gianina-Cristina Chirilă was couldform with the support of students and parents a "Collection of Ethnography and History" in the School with classes I-VIII "Ion Agarici" Muntenii de Sus, Vaslui county with an inventory of over 500 pieces. The School Museum has participated in various temporary exhibitions (2005-2011) and it is already mentioned in some scientific works, written and published, existing in libraries and museums in Romania. "The Collections of ethnography and history" presents the rural community in the area (from historical, ethnographical, spiritual, etc. point of view). It is located in an annex of the Church "Saints Peter and Paul" from Satu Nou village, Muntenii de Sus commune, Vaslui country. The permanent exhibition was opened on December 26, 2010 with the support of the priest Vasile Buruiană. The most valuable and representative pieces from the collections are: iconographic (including wood icons, in Byzantine and Lippovan style, from the 1 9th century), documentary (including citations for war medals 1940-1941), coins (the oldest pieces are a pound of 1731 and afarthing of 1816) etc. Where there is interest and passion, ethnographic treasures should be rendered valuable for the benefit of rural communities, that should be aware that, if they don't find the value of their past, they risk to lose their identity.
