  • Subiect: The history narrated by the chroniclers is mostly political, but apart from the military campaigns and battles, from time to time, those writings tell us information about the economic life, the legal system, the daily life, and the personalities of our neighbours, friends and enemies from the Balkan Peninsula. The aim of this article is to analyse those chroniclers and see their relevance in the formation of the historical and political consciousness in the Romanian space, by reference to the South-Danubian peoples.
