Franţa şi intrarea României în marele război

  • Subiect: This study examines the period which preceded the entry of Romania into the Great war by highlighting certain aspects least treated so far, such as: French diplomacy interventions, early position of Russia and the enormous risk assumed by Brătianu to enter to an alliance with this power. The geostrategic situation of Romania led him to postpone on Brătianu as much to enter the war. The insistence of the French diplomacy persuaded Russia to accept romanien formal requests. Romanian side accepted the signing of military Convention with certain conditions justified the Russian side. Petrograd urged the English party right initiative in Bucharest and insisted that the text of the military Convention should remain secret.
