Şcoala primară Bahnari în timpul primului război mondial (1914-1918)

  • Subiect: World War I strongly affected the educational system also in Romania. Although the courses were not officially suspended, each school adapted to existing conditions. It is also the case of the Primary School in Bahnari, where the courses were held in the school years 1914-1915, 1915-1916, 1917-1918; in 1916-1917 they were suspended. The lack of the fathers in the families, the directing of financial resources to the army and to the following war effort, the lack of teachers left on the front, the low attendance of pupils, the death of pupils and of their parents - all represent the main problems that the war caused the school during the 4 years of war.
