Evoluţia miniaturii manuscriselor înainte de Ştefan cel Mare

  • Subiect: It is known that up until the emergence of printing, first in China around the end of the 11th century, then in Europe by the end of the 15th century, the main means of recording, preserving and spreading human thought-through time and space- was manuscripts. Writing was done on clay plates back in the ancient East, and especially on papyrus in Egypt, Greece and Rome. Starting with the 2nd century, writing on parchment rolls-called rotuli-which gradually replaced papyrus and clay plates, came into general use both in the East and the West.
