  • Subiect: Points of View - Or Opinions and Necessary Updates: (1) Residential Centres and the Capital Cities; (2) Restorations and Destinies of Some Monuments Opinions, points of view, observations regarding themes that belong both to history and to geographical history of the Romanian space from outside the Carpathians, especially about Walachia – that of the capital cities, all of them also represented by a Princely Court. A conflict of interests is evoked, i.e. an estate project from Curtea de Argeş, started in the protection area of the Princely Court, and was cancelled after the special inquiry performed in situ (Fig. 1-4). In the second part of the article – an evidence based on archaeological basis of a fake in the domain of architectural restoration in Curtea de Argeş: The Tower from the entrance /c.1517 / of the ex Princely Court is presented partially ”restored” (Fig. 5); an important construction detail archaeologically proved is ignored, i.e. the fact that the staircase leading to the up-floor was situated in a different part, not were the present ”restoration” placed it (Fig. 6-7). Another fake item, although of a different type, was recorded in Târgşor, where a church from 1670 was ”restored” without its porch (destroyed in the 19th century; in the 1960s the archaeological researches proved its existence (Fig. 8).
