Vasile Goldiş despre Simion Bărnuţiu

  • Subiect: Vasile Goldiş about simion Bărnuţiu The author brings to light, Vasile Goldis's (1862-1934) admiration for Simion Bărnuţiu (1808-1864), historic and philosopher, the leader of the Romanian 1848 Revolution in Transylvania, speaker and politician of European size, writer and professor at the University in Iaşi during AL I. Cuza's reign. He also was the one who led the Big National Union from 3/15 May 1848 in Blaj. He fought for freedom, dignity and for the union of the Romanian people in Transylvania annexed by force to Hungary. There are brought to light Simian Bărnuţiu's qualities in all his work and life periods, his ardendly patriotism, the intransigence of his actions, unflindring and fearless to the Hungarian brutal policy during the ~ears 1848-1849. The two fig liters V. Goldiş and S. Bfirnuţiu stand with pride on the top of the chart of national heroes.
