• Subiect: The Afumaţi village is located at 15 km distance from Bucharest. During the Middle Ages, the area was rich in wood, and a source of charcoal. The land is favorable and it was already inhabited during the bronze age. The famous Cantacuzino family owned several estates in the area. The author follows the history of the Afumaţi village, as it can be traced from various documents.
