  • Subiect: Public order issues in Argeş and Muscel The activities of the Romanian Gendarmerie in Argeş and Muscel are presented in this workpaper, which is about the guarding of same objectives and the undercovered missions. At 1940, the Gendarmerie assured the protection of marshal E. Smigly-Ridz, the former president of Poland, refugee in Romania. He was imprisoned at Dragoslavele-Muscel, from where be escaped in December 1940. Another subject of this workpaper is about the ”lron Guard" and communists actions, which have affected the public order. Last, but not least, are presented the damages caused by the flood of july 1941 and the situation of the prisoners held in the camps of the two counties.
