Subiect: Aspects Regarding the 1848-1849 Revolution in Village from Băbeni (sălaj county) The present study tries to bring out a few important aspects regarding the participation of the inhabitants from the villages Băbeni, Ciocmani, Poieniţa (Băbeni area, Sălaj county) in the 1848-1849 revolution from Transylvania. It brings out a few elements concerning the role of intellectuals in preparing the revolution (Ioan Dragomir) and the peasants' demanding movements in the spring of 1848. All the same, it presents the heroic fight of Chioar inhabitants for social freedom, emancipation and political unity.
