Contribuţii la cunoaşterea situaţiei actuale a faunei ihtiologice a Depresiunii Maramureş

  • Subiect: Between 5th and 15th of August 2002, a research was carried out on the rivers of Maramureş (Romania) county, and succeeded in revealing the presence of 25 living species. Unfortunately, it did not manage to come across the most valuable fish, the Danubian Salmon (Hucho hucho). Large populations of the Blageon (Leuciscus souffia agassizi), the Bullhead (Cottus gobio) and the Siberian Bullhead (Cottus poecilopus) were found. In terms of the variety and the number of the species found, it was observed the decrease of the population, mainly due to the contamination of water and the fish poachers.
