„Scientific research is a never-ending process. That is how we should regard the analysis of the present discovery. lt is a process which proved to be highly significant to the understanding of the period it was dated to. The number and the diversity of the recovered objects, but also the complex circumstances which led to this find, represent only a few of the arguments in favor of this statement. The study of this find was conducted in several stages. In fact, it started right on the day the first 4 vessels with coins (August 1 -2, 2002) were found. The most important part in that stage was played by Mr. Traian Periade - the landowner -, who promptly informed the qualified authorities of the find. Without his interest and his care for the emerged vestiges, this find would have ended as many others did in the past: they were lost for science. Even during that period, the specialists in the Institute of Archaeology, Iași, kept permanent contact with Mr. Periade and, as much as possible, supervised the site.”
