„Between 10-12 June 1993, the National Museum of Unity from Alba Iulia organised the intemational symposium dedicated to the Early Hallstatt Period in South-Eastem Europe. This scientifical meeting, which was the first one of this kind in the activity of our museum, gathered around 30 scholars, coming from Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania. During the symposium, the participants had the opportunity to see an interesting archaeological exhibition, " The Hallstatt Hillfort from Teleac", opened with this occasion in the halls ofthe museum. They also visited some of the most important Iron Age sites in the Alba district, as the famous site from Teleac, (located not far from the town of Alba Iulia and considered tobe the first pre-urban fortified settlement in this area), the fortress of Căpâlna (a Dacian site belonging to the defensive system of Pre-Roman Dacia) and a Basarabi settlement near Aiud.”
