Materiale arheologice de la sfîrşitul epocii bronzului şi începutul epocii fierului descoperite la Biharea

  • Subiect: ARCHEOLOGICAL MATERIAL FROM THE END OF THE AGE OF BRONZE AND THE BEGINNING OF TIIE IRON AGE REVEALED AT BIHAREA The authors raise for discussion the new archeological material discovered on the occasion of the systematic archeological researches made at Biharea. There have been discovered three tombs (?), of which T (?) - 1 is made up of an urn (central bowl) with two cups by it, and an oblong hole where pieces of ceramics had been thrown; T (?) - 2 is formed of an urn? (large bowl), cut off by a plough? and a lid-bowl; T (?) - 4 (T-3 belongs to a Ha level) is composed of hole with many pottery fragments, among which two cups made of fine lead-black paste, then a clay „threshold" having also pottery fragments belonging to large jugs. Among the potteries there are some remarkable ones, such as the big um in shape of a bi-truncated cone formed by double prominences, directed upwards and downwards, portable stove-bowls and cups which, compared to other discoveries, chronologically belong to the Age of Bronze (Br-D). Studying this stuff and comparing it to other discoveries from Crişana, especially the discoveries from Oradea-Rulikowski cemetery and Coeiuba Mare, the authors get to the hypothesis according to which at the end of the Age of Bronze, in the period of transition to the early Hallstatt, beside the Otomani III and Gava culture, there were some other cultural horizons (dimensions) too, und-Otomani and pre-Gava: 1. the Oradea Horizon - The Rulikowski cemetery, chronologically corresponding to the Egyek culture (Br. C). 2. the Biharea - Cociuba Mare Horizon, chronologically corresponding to the Cruceni II ~ Bobda II - Balta Verde Horizon (Br. D.). 3. the Comuţel - Pecica - Arad - Gai Horizon, from Banat and the South of Crişana, chronologically corresponding to the Sîntana - Lăpuş - Pecica cultural Horizon (Ha.A1), in fact, the beginning of this horizon. The future researches and analyses will have to bring up new evidence concerning the period of transition from the middle Bronze cultures to the early Ha (Br. C, D and Ha. A1).
